President Putin, in reflecting on present U.S.-British-NATO policies — which include endless wars and endless sanctions — said that he can see, as a former citizen of the Soviet Union — that the U.S. “is now walking the Soviet Union’s path, and its gait is confident and steady.” Look at the murderous effects of the Caesar Sanctions against Syria, which besides denying food, medicine and other essential products to people victimized by a dirty war, in which the U.S. backed Islamic terrorists, threaten to punish any country or company which would aid in the reconstruction of that nation. This does not protect the people of the U.S. nor serve their interests, but is done to defend those who have proclaimed a unilateral “Rules-Based Order”, to benefit the imperial corporate cartel interests, which includes the intent to carry out regime change in Russia and China.

In her intervention, Zepp-LaRouche praised Pakistan for hosting the OIC conference on Afghanistan, given the failure of the West to take responsibility for the enormous risk to life of millions of people in Afghanistan. The withholding of Afghanistan’s funds by Western banks is shameful. She promoted Operation Ibn Sina as a path forward in creating a health and development path forward for Afghanistan, and hoped that the OIC would incorporate it into its proposals.
The American-NATO defeat by the Taliban was a humiliating experience, but this does not end the responsibility to the well-being of the people of Afghanistan. The given reason for withholding funding is the Taliban’s mistreatment of women and children, but creating the conditions for mass starvation is essentially genocide, and this is what the economic blockade does. Withholding funds may also cause Afghanistan to turn to drug production, which the Taliban opposes. She appealed to the entire world to choose the side of humanity over barbarism.
Responding to another question about the discussion of Afghanistan and the OIC meeting in the West, Zepp-LaRouche emphasized the potential of the human impulse to do good could overcome geopolitics. As an example, she cited the coordination between India and Pakistan of Indian supplies going to Afghanistan via Pakistan. Another example is the collaboration of the Central Asian Republics with Russia and China. If the United States could be induced to make a positive contribution, this would be of absolute world historical importance in shifting the world paradigm: “I think the whole destiny of mankind is concentrated like a laser in what happens in Afghanistan.” It must become an issue of the whole world. Is humanity fit to survive? “In one sense, I think the fate of Afghanistan and the fate of humanity are more closely connected than most people can imagine.”
Askary praised Pakistan’s efforts to support the people of Afghanistan, both to release the billions of dollars held by American and European financial institutions and to end sanctions. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Qureshi has made commendable efforts to these ends. The release of funds is essential, but more is required. The crisis in Afghanistan was not caused by the Taliban, but by twenty years of failures of Western military action. The current situation in Afghanistan will cause the rise of terrorism and of immigration, outcomes that Western nations supposedly oppose. The geopolitical game must be ended, replaced by the new paradigm exemplified by the Belt and Road Initiative. The immediate crisis must be addressed, but the way must be paved to the long-term solution provided by infrastructure, including health infrastructure. The Schiller Institute’s Operation Ibn Sina is a proposal that allows for international cooperation across the geopolitical divide to provide for the common well-being of the people of the world. This is the opportunity presented by the current crisis, an opportunity that must be fought for.
Askary explained that Afghanistan had fallen off the media in Scandinavia as well. Although there are many Nordic organizations pushing for humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, this receives scant coverage. But with the push among institutions to oppose China and Russia, there is little room to support useful efforts.
He emphasized that Muslim nations have been pitted against each other by British geopolitics, as happened in Libya, Syria, and Yemen. But, the age of geopolitics has ended with the failure in Afghanistan and a new paradigm beckons, based on economic cooperation. Muslim nations should join this new paradigm. He also spoke to the importance of India taking its rightful position as an Asian nation rather than an Atlanticist one, working with Pakistan and other neighbors of Afghanistan like China.

Wang Wenbin, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, on June 4 blew the whistle on Wall Street Journal fraudster Michael Gordon. “Not long ago,” Wang said, “Michael R. Gordon, an American journalist, by quoting a so-called ‘previously undisclosed U.S. intelligence report,’ hinted a far-fetched connection between the ‘three sick staff’ at the Wuhan lab and the Covid-19 outbreak. Nineteen years ago, it was this very reporter who concocted false information by citing unsubstantiated sources about Iraq’s ‘attempt to acquire nuclear weapons,’ which directly led to the Iraq War.”
As EIR has reported, it was Gordon, who was then working at the New York Times, who teamed up with the infamous liar and leaker Judith Miller to publish the first claim that Saddam was building nuclear weapons. The Sept. 8, 2002 article was titled, “U.S. Says Hussein Intensifies Quest for A-Bomb Parts.”

Nicola Scafetta, an Italian scientist and world leader in climate models based on astronomic oscillations, has exposed climate policies as a pretext to build a financial business in an earlier interview with Italian media. Speaking to the Italian daily Il Libero Quotidiano for Jan. 21, 2020, Scafetta said he suspects “that there is an effort to exploit climate fears to generate a catastrophism aimed at allowing a changed economic and social model in a direction promoted by big finance and multinationals. They created a demand to make money: They must have people accept costly and disadvantageous policies, which are profitable for some investors. Catastrophism is more for business rather than for the environment.”

In the last ten days, there has been a flurry of diplomatic discussion prompted by the U.S.-U.K.-NATO insistence that Russia is about to invade Ukraine. Putin has been busy, making the case that it is the Trans-Atlantic nations which are the aggressors, that they are launching provocations in the Ukraine-Black Sea region, and in the Indo-Pacific. The dream of some deranged geopoliticians, that they could replay the efforts of Henry Kissinger in the 1974-76 period, to pit Russia and China against each other, suffered a probable fatal blow with the Putin-Xi summit yesterday. While Blinken, Stoltenberg and Truss are huffing and bluffing, an alliance of sovereign nations, committed to peaceful economic cooperation, is growing. Can the American people outflank the London-Wall St. corporate geopoliticians, and bring the U.S. in on the side of the alliance of sovereign states?
Friday Questions: With the upcoming Putin-Biden summit, there were several questions about what we can expect: Will anything be accomplished? What would you consider a successful summit? Will there be efforts to sabotage it? A second question referred to the idea of a “Clean Green Initiative” put forward to counter China’s Belt-and-Road Initiative, asking if it is designed to split the world into two camps, as was done after World War II, with the Cold War. A third question asked about how to make more clear to the general public the degree of evil represented by today’s neo-Malthusian elites.
Under the headline “Afghanistan, the Committee for the Republic: Let Us Help It,” the daily Il Corriere di Sicilia published the Dec. 10 call by the Committee for the Coincidence of Opposites with an endorsement by Alessia Ruggeri.
The paper quotes Ruggeri saying: “I join the declaration by Helga Zepp-LaRouche, president of the Schiller Institute, which has highlighted that for more than two months no one has talked about Afghanistan, totally ignoring the emergency and the fact that, with the confiscation of funds, the population is likely to die of hunger and hardship,” and it continues: “These are the words of Alessia Ruggeri, spokesperson of the political movement ‘Committee for the Republic’ member of the Committee for the Coincidence of the Opposites that supports the call by David Beasley, director of the WFP, which states that immediate support from the West is needed, defining it as a moral test for the West.” See the Italian original.
Before the June 16 summit between Presidents Putin and Biden, there will be summits of the G7 in the UK and NATO in Brussels. The main topic of these summits, announced in ongoing pre-summit meetings, will be coordination to “confront systemic challenges from Russia and China”. This was the message of British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab, and seconded by U.S. officials Lloyd Austin, the U.S. Defense Secretary, and Secretary of State Blinken. The G7 is expected to unveil its “alternative” to China’s global Belt-and-Road infrastructure initiative, the “Clean Green Initiative”, and its new “Alliance of Democratic States”, which Blinken said will provide robust support for the phony “Rules-Based Order”. These are a public relations cover for geopolitical provocations of the War Hawks, to defend their highly unpopular “Great Reset”; keep an eye out for Fake News and False Flags, designed to disrupt any serious effort in the Putin-Biden summit, to move toward cooperative agreements on addressing the systemic breakdown underway.

Dec. 13 (EIRNS) – The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security and the DC-based non-profit Nuclear Threat Initiative compile an annual Global Health Security Index, which was published on Dec. 8. The study “found insufficient capacity in every country,” bar none in the world, leaving the world “vulnerable to future health emergencies … which might be more devastating than the coronavirus.” The report constitutes proof that the mission of building modern healthcare, public health and disease monitoring systems in every country, demanded already in early March 2020 by Helga Zepp-LaRouche for the Schiller Institute, is more urgent than ever. Zepp-LaRouche identifies Afghanistan as the country where this must be done most immediately, and cooperatively involving China, Russia and the United States.
This study’s 2019 version was cited often by the Trump Administration because it rated the United States as number-1 in pandemic preparedness—and it does so again this year, with Australia, Finland, Canada, Thailand, Slovenia, the UK, Germany, South Korea and Sweden following in the “top 10.” But all failed to one degree or another in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in comparison to China and a few other Asian countries. The study says the reason for this was “low public confidence in government” in those countries. “People have been unwilling to comply with public health recommendations that would slow the spread of the virus.”
Tom Frieden, former director of the U.S. CDC, now an executive of the global public health organization called Vital Strategies, characterized the report simply: “No country is prepared, and there’s a need for urgent action to address that.” The report itself emphasized, in addition to more funding of healthcare and “health security” or public health capacities, that “international organizations should identify countries most in need of additional support.”
One person involved in preparing this report for Nuclear Threat Initiative is now in the Biden Administration: Beth Cameron, who heads the Directorate of Global Health Security and Biodefense in the NSC.
There is no better example of the fraud behind the Biden administration’s “Summit for Democracy” than the attempt to murder whistleblower publisher Julian Assange. His crime?
