The molten salt nuclear battery promoted by Richard McPherson looks like a scam. In order to cut the cost of testing, It's being tested with a solution of solid table salt (sodium chloride) dissolved in water, not molten salt with chloride or fluoride compounds of fission fuel dissolved in it, to cut the cost of testing. That will cut the cost of testing, but it will also make the results of the test irrelevant. Salt dissolves at room temperature, but a salt suitable for dissolving nuclear fission fuel does not dissolve the fuel and flow freely at any temperature below 500 C and probably higher, like 550 C. They need to show that they can handle corrosion with the actual fluid that they're going to use at at least 600 C, so there is a difference between the outlet and inlet temperature. Showing that just any cheap fluid that doesn't meet any of the other requirements will flow and transport heat without pumps is trivial. Nor is transporting heat without pumps important, if it meets the other requirements.

It is unfortunate that Barbara Boyd and her following have found it necessary to make an enemy of China in hopes of making friends with Trump supporters, just as it is unfortunate that Trump felt the need to do the same in order to appease his handlers, who otherwise would give him and his family the full LaRouche treatment, or separate him from those members of his family who are willing to sell him out.

Nevertheless, even our dearest allies should not be above criticism. The social credit system, if applied in an uneven and arbitrary manner, with no appeal of its decisions allowed, could be a method of despotism. Or, it could be an alternative to a system of fines which is more nearly equal in its severity toward the rich and the poor, while avoiding the tremendous expense to both the state and the convict of jail sentences, and usually avoiding court hearings as well.
