To say that President Trump’s Asia trip was an historic success may be an understatement!  Though the highlight was his visit to Beijing and meetings with China’s President Xi Jinping, his meetings with other leaders, including his exchanges with President Putin, were productive.  In every event, he made explicit that the days when the U.S. acted as the enforcer of a unipolar empire are over.

Don’t be depressed or confused by the honking of the geese of the old establishment, with their lies and slanders against Trump and those who met with him.  These are only the hysterical squawks of those whose  collapsing world order is in its death throes.  They cannot succeed in stopping the momentum of the new dynamic unleashed in the world.  Let them squawk — we have to do our job, to ensure that they are defeated, and that the New Paradigm fully emerges.

Webcast—Our Stark Reality: Either Act in Solidarity, or Face Hell on Earth

In her weekly webcast today, Helga Zepp LaRouche laid out the stark choice facing humanity: Either we can act together, in cooperation and solidarity, or the future will be one of chaos, war and even more destructive pandemic disease. It is wrong to say that there was no advance warning that we would face such an existential crisis. Lyndon LaRouche was prescient in his forecasts going back to 1971, when he warned that the decision to end the Bretton Woods system, if not reversed, would plunge mankind into a Dark Age.

At present, we are seeing that warning fulfilled, in the horrors of overcrowded and under-equipped hospitals in Italy, Spain, and New York City. But we are also seeing the hope that the disease can be slowed, even halted, coming from China. The Chinese are now offering necessary medical supplies to 82 nations, as well as their expertise in countering the coronavirus. Only “insane people, or criminals” continue to push the lies which justify the anti-China rhetoric.

Zepp LaRouche also elaborated her call for a “pause” in financial trading, to allow for the implementation of Glass Steagall, and a move toward a Hamiltonian national credit system, instead of a hyperinflationary bailout of the worthless assets being traded in the casino economy. The explosion of the two crises—the pandemic and the collapse of the financial system—offer us the opportunity to come out of the crises with a new image of man, as we build the New Paradigm, in cooperation with sovereign nation states.

Webcast: Shut Down the Neo-Liberal Casino Economy, It Is Hopelessly Bankrupt

Schiller Institute chairman Helga Zepp LaRouche issued an urgent call on March 18, which she reiterated in her weekly webcast on the 19th, for closing down the financial system for several days, to have time to enact urgently needed reforms, beginning with Glass Steagall banking separation, to carry out a bankruptcy reorganization of the present financial system. The neoliberal system is bankrupt, she said, due to the shift, which began fifty years ago, from the fixed-exchange rate post-war Bretton Woods system, to a deregulated, speculative casino economy.

The financial crash, which is occurring simultaneously with the spread of the Coronvirus pandemic, will not be solved by more bailouts, which will only prolong the destruction of the physical economy. Further, it will undermine efforts underway to reverse the collapse of the health care system worldwide, which was taken down in the name of for-profit health care, and austerity. What is needed now is full cooperation among leading nations, a global solidarity to replace geopolitics. While there have been some positive steps in this direction, the economic measures thus far remain within the box imposed by neoliberalism, while some officials, such as U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo, continue to engage in geopolitical provocations, as in his attacks on China.

To succeed against the global pandemic, she said, we should listen to the medical team from Wuhan, which waged a heroic fight against the disease. What is needed is love, not finger-pointing. The crisis has provided us with the opportunity to shed all the axioms of geopolitics and neoliberalism, and to act instead in solidarity with our fellow human beings.

Webcast: The European Renaissance Is Our Model to Address Today’s Existential Crises

In a sweeping review of the confluence of crises confronting humanity today, Helga Zepp LaRouche concluded that what is required, instead of panic and despair, is a calm assessment of actions which can lift mankind out of the neoliberal, geopolitical mindset, into the creative state of mind which enabled mankind to climb out of the Dark Age of the 14th century. She emphasized that the crises threatening us today have resulted from the failure to listen to Lyndon LaRouche since his forecast of August 15, 1971. As an example, she referenced the Coronavirus as the kind of threat that was envisioned by Lyn in the 1970s, which led him to establish a biological holocaust task force.

At every step of the devolution of the quality of leadership—which is on display today in the monetarism and Green ideology which dominates policy discussion in Europe, and in the Democratic Party nomination contest—LaRouche offered a clear and well-defined alternative. Today, that can be summarized by the need to adopt his Four Power proposal, as the basis for a New Bretton Woods, and his Four Laws, based on the requirements for reviving the level of physical economic production needed to overcome the crises.

She concluded by reminding viewers of the role of Boccaccio in making conscious the depravity of the Dark Age, which inspired those who launched the Renaissance, especially Dante and Cusa. It was by rejecting the dominant Aristotelian philosophy of the day, and replacing it with Plato, that modern European civilization was launched. There are no problems that we face today, which cannot be solved by taking the launching of the European Renaissance as a model, based on a return to the classical method of thinking.

While incompetently insisting that China’s policy is creating an unsustainable debt bubble — ignoring the REAL debt bubble set to explode in the Trans-Atlantic region — the defenders of the bankrupt geopolitical empire accuse China of using infrastructure development to enslave poor nations, by loading them up with debt and stealing their raw materials (which is, of course, what the British Empire has done for centuries).

So why the panic?  With President Trump set for what could become a world-historic series of meetings in Asia, the possibility that the U.S. will become a participant in the BRI would be a major step toward putting an end to the unipolar world enforced by the collapsing banking and financial empire.

Helga Zepp-LaRouche reiterated her call for an emergency summit between presidents Trump, Putin and Xi to diffuse tensions in the Middle East and create a comprehensive peace plan for the region. While the shock of the U.S. drone strike killing Iranian Gen. Soleimani put the world on the path towards a much greater conflict, it also provided a sobering moment which made unambiguously clear that a comprehensive peace plan must be the priority, and that can only happen with the collaboration between the U.S., Russia, and China.
