In an article in {Consortium News} on January 11, Ray McGovern, leader of the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) and a former high-level CIA intelligence analyst, wrote that it is evident to all except those blinded by their hatred for President Trump, that a “soft-coup” is underway, directed by British intelligence and its U.S. allies, to drive him out of office. The purpose of “regime change” in the U.S. is to preserve the geopolitical machinations of its coordinators, even if it means putting the world on a course toward nuclear war. The “missile alert” in Hawaii last week should be a reminder of how perilously close we are to nuclear annihilation.

In his article, McGovern points to the importance of “former” MI-6 operative Steele’s fraudulent dossier in running the coup. McGovern calls on Congress to take on the “J. This would put an end to the era of confrontational imperial geopolitics, which is what China’s President Xi means when he speaks of “win-win” collaboration.

In opening a three-day visit to China, French President Emmanuel Macron declared that, with the reinvention of the ancient Silk Road, which he called a “treasure of civilization,” China “has accomplished a dream.” As China has lifted 700 million out of poverty, he said, the Chinese can now come to Europe, to help accomplish the same there. Remember, Macron stressed, the Belt-and-Road Initiative (BRI) works both ways. “The ancient Silk Roads were never only Chinese. By definition, these roads can only be shared. If they are roads, they cannot be ‘one way.'”

With these words, Macron is echoing a call made a week earlier by Helga Zepp LaRouche on her weekly webcast, when she called on European governments to become active participants in BRI projects with China, to address the growing levels of poverty in Europe.. She noted today that Macron’s message from China will send shock waves throughout the world, as it represents a reversal of policy. In particular, it puts Berlin and Brussels on notice, as these capitals remain stubbornly, and foolishly, resistant to the potential for cooperation with China’s “win-win” policy, which is overturning the imperial doctrine of geopolitics.

The hysterical and vitriolic rhetoric against Russia, coming from Britain’s imperial oligarchs and their intelligence services, channeled through Theresa May and Boris BoJo Johnson, is fooling no one. Those leaders who have not lost their sense of reality instead have been engaging in an impressive array of diplomatic and economic activity, forging agreements to participate in China’s Belt-and-Road Initiative BRI). Parallel to these efforts is a Russian initiative to bring peace to Syria, working with Syria’s neighbors. The British-directed geopoliticians have no doubt taken notice that as this initiative moves forward, President Trump restated his campaign promise to end all U.S. military involvement in Syria, while reiterating his desire for a summit with Putin in the near future.

What is behind the British attacks against Putin and Russia is not the fraudulent claim that Putin ordered the poisoning of a former Russian intelligence officer, just as the Mueller investigation has nothing to do with “Russian meddling” in the U.S. election. The target of these provocations is the New Paradigm, associated with the BRI, which the City of London and its Wall Street allies correctly have identified as the successor to their failed system. Were the U.S. to join with Russia, China and India, as Lyndon LaRouche urged in the aftermath of the 2008 Crash, there would be no way to prevent the emergence of the New Paradigm.
