The reckless sending of ever more and ever more heavy weapons into Ukraine must stop instantly. The “narrative,” that there are no red lines, that “Ukraine must win,” and that “Russia must be ruined” is insane. The strongest nuclear power on Earth, Russia, cannot lose the war, but we all can lose together. Any escalation, such as an attack on Crimea, or strikes into the territory of Russia, are completely mad. The idea of a “winnable” limited regional nuclear war, will mean thermonuclear war on a global scale in the short-term. This would be followed by many years of nuclear winter, which would be the end of life on Earth. That is what the war hawks are playing with!

This war is not about Ukraine. The Ukrainian people are being ground down in a proxy war for geopolitical purposes, and we are not “helping” them, by prolonging this grinding war to the last Ukrainian. This war reflects the fact that we are in an epochal change, that we are at the end of the era of colonial suppression and the countries of the Global South are now demanding their innate right for development. The effort to maintain the unipolar world is futile, because it no longer exists. The old order, which neither follows rules, nor is in order, is trying to prevent a change in the status quo, which protects the rights of the billionaires, but neglects the billions of people who suffer from scarcity.

There is now an attempt by this so-called rules-based order, to establish Global NATO through an interconnected network of military treaties including the NATO-EU agreement, AUKUS (Australia-United Kingdom-United States partnership), and the U.K.-Japan “Reciprocal Access Agreement,” which is looking more and more like a march towards a global showdown with Russia and China, whose rise is seen as an existential threat. According to Evan Ellis, the U.S. Army War College’s resident expert on Ibero-American-Chinese relations, there will be an inevitable war with China over Taiwan no later than 2025 and that war will be global.

In the midst of this escalation, Seymour Hersh has dropped a bombshell by presenting the results of his investigation of the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines: that it was done by the United States. He describes how the secret U.S. planning for blowing up the Nord Stream pipelines started more than nine months earlier, and that there was a big debate inside the intelligence community whether or not to do it, given the potential for a gigantic blowback. In a press conference with German Chancellor Scholz on Feb. 7, 2022, President Biden told the gathered media that if Russia were to move into Ukraine, the United States had ways to make sure the Nord Stream pipeline would be stopped from functioning. And Chancellor Scholz stood there, like a little boy, without saying a mumbling word then—and to the present day. And Germany is being deindustrialized as a result.

There must be immediately an international investigation into the allegations of Hersh, with the participation of Russia. Because if it is true, that the U.S. and Norway sabotaged the pipeline, the implications are momentous. What does Germany need enemies for, with friends like this? If Hersh’s charges are true, this could very well mean the end of NATO.

We have to end the war danger by stopping the supply of weapons to Ukraine.

We must undertake all efforts to find a diplomatic solution. With the admissions by former German Chancellor Merkel and former French President Hollande that they never intended to let the Minsk Agreement succeed, trust in international relations with these nations and their allies has been ruined. Therefore all efforts must be made to support the offer of Pope Francis to use the venue of the Vatican to conduct unconditional negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. And if Brazilian President Lula forms a peace group of nations of the Global South, that should be added to support the efforts by Pope Francis.

But beyond these immediate steps, we absolutely have to overcome geopolitics which led to two world wars in the 20th Century. We have to realize a new international security and development architecture, which takes into account the security interests of every single country on the planet—a lesson we should have learned from the Peace of Westphalia—and we have to realize that there can be no peace without development.

Principles for a Durable Peace

We have to discuss the principles upon which the future order of humanity can be built, in order to be able to self-govern ourselves. The future world order must guarantee the life and creative potential of every person on the planet, and therefore must eliminate hunger, poverty, and underdevelopment. We need to conceptualize and create institutions that can realize these goals. There are many useful historic reference points for the construction of such a just new order, such as FDR’s original intentions for the Bretton Woods system to massively increase the living standard of the countries of the Global South, as well as the UN Charter. There are China’s proposals for the GSI, the Global Security Initiative, and the GDI, the Global Development Initiative.

We have clearly reached a crossroads in human history, where we either self-destruct in a global nuclear war, or we realize our potential as the only known creative species in the universe so far, and therefore find a solution which overcomes the present conflicts by establishing a higher level of reason. A good example of that method of thinking was presented to the world in the 15th Century by Nicholas of Cusa with his “Coincidentia Oppositorum,” the Coincidence of Opposites, which proceeds from the understanding that the One has a higher power than the Many.

It is high time that we bring the political, economic, and social order on Earth into cohesion with the actual physical laws of the universe, which will also give rise to an unbounded optimism about the creative lawfulness which underlies creation. If we change our thinking in this way, we can shape our future in ways few people have an inkling of today.

We will soon use thermonuclear fusion power commercially and solve energy scarcity; we will cooperate with the nations of Africa in fulfilling Africa’s promise as the continent of the future; we will cooperate on international space science and travel; we will increase longevity by discovering cures for many diseases; and we will create a new cultural renaissance to celebrate the creativity of our species, just to name a few of the many wonderful things we will be able to do.

Helga Zepp-LaRouche: “Biden lets Nord Stream blow up – German government must act immediately!”

Berlin, Febr. 8, 2023 — An article just published by the well-known U.S. investigative journalist Seymour Hersh describes (Read Here) with meticulous accuracy how U.S. President Joe Biden had the gas pipelines Nord Stream 1 and 2 blown up in the Baltic Sea. This article must leave every normal person stunned in view of the complete lawlessness of the American government towards its “partners”. If the German government fails to act in the face of this utterly scandalous revelation, it will no longer have any justification to remain in office.

Seymour Hersh’s article, using both public and private sources, demonstrates that President Biden, through his National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, had reviewed the proposed destruction of the pipelines as early as 2021 and later gave the green light for the operation. Also implicated were members of the United States Joint Chiefs of Staff, the CIA, the U.S. Departments of State and Treasury, and the governments of Norway and Denmark.

The explosives were placed in June 2022 during the Baltops22 military maneuver via a special diving team and were then detonated remotely by signal on September 26, 2022. Germany’s purchase of cheap natural gas from Russia had long been a thorn in the side of the U.S. government, Hersh said.

This confirms the suspicion already circulating and at the same time adds minute details to it. Hersh demonstrates that the architects of this act of destruction knew it was an “act of war” and therefore demanded absolute secrecy.

In light of this monstrosity, Germany must act immediately! I demand that there be a full investigation into Seymour Hersh’s revelations in the Bundestag! At the same time, I call on the German government to demand accountability from the U.S. government. The German government has a constitutional duty to prevent harm to the German people. The destruction of energy infrastructure strikes at the very foundation of our standard of living and economic stability.

The federal government cannot be indifferent to the fact that Germany and its people are the victims of the geopolitics of an obsessive war faction that not only accepts the destruction of its “allies,” but even a third world war and the potential extinction of humanity.

Urgent: Stop the Danger of Nuclear War!

Dear colleagues from around the world:

A group of current and former legislators from Mexico and other countries of Latin America and the Caribbean held two international seminars in the month of October on the subject, “Stop the Danger of Nuclear War.”

At these meetings, political and social leaders with different ideological outlooks agreed that the current crisis around Ukraine, “can lead to a confrontation with nuclear weapons between Russia and the United States and NATO,” and that it is urgent to reestablish the universal concept that a, “nuclear war cannot be won and must never be fought,” as was stated most recently by the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council in January of this year.

We call on you, current and former legislators of the world, to join this effort that we have launched, in order to urge all world citizens to also unite to create a new international security and development architecture, which respects the security interests of all nations and which guarantees the right to welfare and economic development of all people on the planet. As Congressman Robles Montoya stated in the seminar we held on October 27, “I would like to submit for your consideration the formation of a group of legislators who represent everyone on all continents, if possible of all nationalities, to go dialogue directly with the governments of every country interested in world peace.”

We will hold a third international seminar on November 22, whose purpose is to continue the process of deliberation and search for peaceful solutions, including a thorough examination of the alternative economic policies to replace speculation, which has generated so much poverty and suffering, with a system of production and progress to meet the needs of a growing world population.

As we state in our Declaration, “The common good of the One Humanity is the obligatory premise for the good of each and every nation.”

Overview

The civilization-ending danger of nuclear devastation is greater than at any moment in human history. But telling the truth is forbidden. The Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation and the Myrotvorets (“Peacekeepers”) websites publish hit-lists of supposed propagators of Kremlin propaganda, labeling anyone who opposes the reckless and irreversible plunge into world war as a Putin puppet.

The Foundation to Battle Injustice has appealed to the UN with an Open Letter to close down the Myrotvorets-List in Ukraine, which targets 4000 international journalists and other institutional people for assassination (“liquidation”), and demands a criminal investigation into the background of this operation. Many of these journalists are on that list, because their coverage did not conform to the “permitted official narrative” of NATO about the Ukraine situation. But others are on that list because they demand a diplomatic solution before the war escalates beyond control.

We are rapidly reaching that point of no return. The latest meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at Ramstein Airbase in Germany shifted the war into higher gear by having NATO member countries sending ever more sophisticated precision and longer range weapons to Ukraine. It is becoming obvious that this is already a war between NATO and Russia. The Ukrainian defense chief, Valery Zaluzhnyi, claims that Russia is about to use tactical nuclear weapons and demands that the West deploy preemptively the “entire arsenal of means at their disposal” against Russia. The “Kiev Security Compact” of the Ukrainian Government demands de facto NATO- and EU-membership for Ukraine, providing Article-5-type protection, which deputy chief of the Russian Security Council Medvedev has characterized as the “prologue to World War Three.”

The real reason for the war danger and this escalation lies in the fact, that the Trans-Atlantic neoliberal financial system is heading towards a hyperinflationary breakdown crisis, as occurred in Weimar Germany in 1923, which has been caused by the decade long monetarist policies of profit maximization and liquidity pumping. The crisis of this system is already affecting the whole world, but especially the developing countries with exploding food and energy prices.

The only way to eliminate the danger of World War Three, which threatens the annihilation of the entire human species, is the replacement of the present hopelessly bankrupt system with a new credit system, a New Bretton Woods, which relaunches the world economy and provides cheap, long-term credit lines for real economic development of the Global South. Since both the war danger and the threat of the looming collapse of the financial system affect the whole world, the UNGA is the appropriate place to initiate the creation of a New Just World Economic Order, which must take action for this now.

We appeal therefore to the UNGA to guarantee an open and free debate about the need to establish a new international security and development architecture, which takes into account the interest of every single country on the planet, not only for all journalists and individuals who are on the Myrotvorets- list, but for all people who are contributing concepts to make the world a safe and better place.

We therefore appeal to the UNGA to convoke a special emergency conference to implement such a new international security and development architecture, and to pass a resolution expressing that intent.

Sept. 5, 2022 (EIRNS)—On Wednesday, September 7 at 11 a.m. EDT, Executive Intelligence Review (EIR) is hosting an international press conference on its just released reports, “Kiev’s ‘Info Terrorist’ List: ‘Global NATO’ Issues Hit on Advocates of Peace,” and follow-up article, “Ukraine’s Deathlist Database: myrotvorets.center,” by an EIR Investigative Team.

Scott Ritter, Ray McGovern, Col. Richard Black (ret.), Diane Sare, candidate for U.S. Senate, and other Americans targeted by Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD), who have also demanded Congressional action to stop the U.S. funding of the CCD, will be available to speak to the media. The EIR report states that, “Rapid, decisive international action is required to force the closure of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD), which operates under and answers to Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council. A blacklist issued by the CCD July 14, 2022, naming more than 70 leading journalists, academics, politicians, military, and other professionals from 22 countries, as ‘Kremlin propagandists,’ is a hitlist, posing a grave threat to the personal security of those named therein.”

And that EIR report further states that it has now confirmed that at least five of those fingered by the CCD are included in the list of “criminals to be eliminated” published by the avowedly fascist “Myrotvorets” gang in Ukraine: Schiller Institute founder and leader Helga Zepp-LaRouche; Schiller Institute spokesman Harley Schlanger; former CIA officer and active anti-war activist Ray McGovern, the co-founder of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS), who has participated in Schiller Institute conferences; former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter; and former U.S. Congresswoman and Democratic presidential pre-candidate Tulsi Gabbard. The Myrotvorets list is reported to have accumulated nearly 200,000 names since it was started in 2014 and, given the difficulties in using its search engine, others from the CCD blacklist may also be on the Myrotvorets hitlist.

The report documents that, “Although the CCD operates under the Office of the Presidency, it is not Ukraine’s “Ministry of Truth”; it is, rather, Global NATO’s. It is funded and closely advised by the U.S. State Department, British intelligence, and NATO in every step it takes.”

Responsibility for the CCD/Myrotvorets hits, both those which have occurred and those threatened, will rest squarely on those international sponsors—including members of the U.S. Congress who vote in support of continued funding for the CCD operation.

Today, Helga Zepp-LaRouche, author of the speech “Gandhi’s Vision for a New Paradigm in International Relations, a World Health System, and Direct Non-Violent Action in Times of Social Breakdown,” will offer a strategic evaluation and remarks, addressing a Schiller Institute webcast, on July 23 at 2 p.m. EDT, in response to the breakthrough against the self-destructive and immoral policy of “war by sanctions” that occurred Friday, July 22 in Istanbul, Turkey.

This breakthrough, a signed four-way agreement to finally allow shipments of grain from the Black Sea, was in part in response to the pleas, admonitions and bulletins issued by the United Nations World Food Program head David Beasley and many others. The agreement was signed by the United Nations, Turkey, Ukraine and Russia. Now that a challenge to, though not a reversal of, the murderous sanctions policy has begun in the area of world food security, that flank must be exploited to roll back sanctions against Venezuela, Afghanistan, Iran and other nations, to end the decades of Malthusian war-fighting against the developing sector in the name of “campaigning for human rights.”
